Now I did what Akshit told me. i.e. c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322>aspnet_regiis -i then it displayed like: Start installing ASP.NET (1.1.4322.0) Finished installing ASP.NET (1.1.4322.0). But after that when I am trying to open the project I get a different error like "The Web server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web project located at the following URL: "http://localhost/MyApp'.'HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error'. What could be the problem. SInce 1 day I am reinstalling IIS and VS.NET and nothing work .
