You've include this lines into your program... 
using System.Web.Security

then in form...you can use the following line wherever you want to use... like 
encrypting the pass. 
FormsAuthentication.HashPasswordForStoringInConfigFile(UCase(Trim(TxtPass.Text)), 
"SHA1") 
////// 
in my case i'm storing the pass by encrypting it.....then when the user is signing 
in... i'm encrypting the pass he enterd with the above line and checking it with the 
encrypted pass which is available in the database.
