Hi Wilson,
You can backup or restore sql server database in your machine only 
if SQL SERVER is running on your machine.

1) if so, then copy the file to your Harddisk.
2) Go to All tasks - Restore Database.
3) Select option from "From Device".
4) Click on select devices.
5) Click on Add.
6) A dialog box comes where you can give location of the 
filename.
7)then say ok
8) before all this go to the options database and use "force 
restore over existing database".
