----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: PSingh Message 10 in Discussion Hi, I think u r not clear of ur basics regarding your web applications. Over here, the server side code (ur code behind) will be executed as per the events of a page life cycle (like Page_Load event. when u check ur textbox to contain any data, it will be empty for the first time the page_Load is executed. So ur alert will be added to the attributes. Now when u click the button, the alert is being executed on the clientside and thus u get the message even when the textbox has some data. Instead of a alert directly in the button click, call a javascript function on the button click and there do a check for the textbox and the alert the user. Hope u got it. Pradeep. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDOTNET/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
