I friends,
At my office i have
been workin on a project ( a complete business solution on
asp.net and VB.net).
The application is running fine. Now the
Client wants a MSeesnger king of an application which will be
installed on every desktop which will be in the system tray(
more like MSN Istant messenger). The purpose of this thinclient
aplication will be to prompt or flash certain enents( eg.
trigger for stock status falling below the safty stock or
something like PO being rejected...) guys how can this be
done....
my question i am able to carate an application in
(C#) which will run in the system tray. But the problem is how
can make the application prompt when a trigger is generated in
the sql database.
That is how do i call a method in the
webservice from the Db. Then how do i invoke an event in the
thin client application installed on remote client on network
from the
webservice.
