Ok the specific requirement would be , an application which would like this. There woulod be one table which will have all the logged in users thro the Thin client appln with there IP address ( the user may login from any PC on the network). AS soon as a trigger is raised in the Data base ( say whn stock status column of item IO1 falls below 100) , this should call the method in a webservice ( Now this i guess is directly not possible to call a webservice method/function from DB Trigger , we may have to write an extended stored procedure.) Now is the problem i have been writing application which can access webervice methods remotly ( like we all do) but how can a webservice, useg ith IP address ( or any other way) call a method of the client application.? This is where i am stuck....... I hope i am clear & specific about the problem.. please help me out....
