    Hi laxman,
 
        
If I understand right its somethingl ike you.
        

        u 
hv an intranet app on a server called A. Your clients b,c,d... etc attach a web 
app hosted on A. Every time a request is made to A, a accesses some info on the 
net and serves it as part of the response to the client. if A is not able to 
access to the net at that time, u wud like to not keep waiting fort he response, 
but inform as part of the response with some msg. right... 
 
    how does A connect to the 
net? direct or again it doesnt thru a firewall or proxy...
