Hi,
    
Use opener.strResult=yourVariable instead of window.returnvalue=yourVariable. 
That Should do the trick :)
    Note: If it is not mandatory to save the values selected 
in the popup to database, one can declare javascript variables on the 
parent form and fill them from the modal dialog window using 
opener.strResult = selectedValue before closing the 
window.
