----------------------------------------------------------- From: SitaramanM Message 3 in Discussion Hi Could not understand the problem clearly. Is it that "When EnableViewState is done, you are not able to see the values in the Statebag, that are added by default, like a control's value etc.." If so, then thi is by design. Viewstate since is encrypted and is base-64 encoded so it is only accessible to the ASP.NET runtime. This means that , any data that you put inside the viewstate explictly is definitely readable by you , but any value that the runtime itself stores in the viewstate, like the control's text value, is accessible only to the asp.net runtime and inaccessible to you. I found this in my initial stages of ASP.net where , i thought i will use the statebag itself as a state persistence mechanism, as the values are anyways stored. But then i found out that the data that you yourself do not add is not accessible to you hth regards, sr ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
