Hi   Could not understand the problem clearly.  Is it that "When EnableViewState is 
done, you are not able to see the values in the Statebag, that are added by default, 
like a control's value etc.."   If so, then thi is by design. Viewstate since is 
encrypted and is base-64 encoded so it is only accessible to the ASP.NET runtime.  
This means that ,  any data that you put inside the viewstate explictly is definitely 
readable by you , but any value that the runtime itself stores in the viewstate, like 
the control's text value, is accessible only to the asp.net runtime and inaccessible 
to you. I found this in my initial stages of ASP.net where , i thought i will use the 
statebag itself as a state persistence mechanism, as the values are anyways stored. 
But then i found out that the data that you yourself do not add is not accessible to
