Raja, My scenario is different..... I will be more clear now.... Tabel_X
FIELD_1 FIELD_2 XYZ 32,45,56,67 MNX 33,22,45,67
These are the two rows in the table_x
Now i need to insert a third row...the value are ('MNY', '32,56,67,45')
So before inserting into the table i need to check whether this record exist or
not....
so conisder the first row field_2 value...it is 32,45,56,67
now i am inserting a row with a value '32,56,67,45' - new row and the first row
values are same but the numbers are interchanged.
Now when i write the select statment like this
SELECT * FROM TABLE_X WHERE FIELD_2 = '32,56,67,45'
the RESULT WILL BE NO RECORDS FOUND...
But i need the result should say the record is found....
therefore the combination of values are allowed...........................
Hope i am clear now...
Balaji
