----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: SitaramanM Message 6 in Discussion Hi As mentioned in my previous post the keyphrase/requirement as mentioned by you here is "Any Request to the Server has to come to this Single Page". In legacy ASp, i would have suggested ISAPI filters in the .Net space, the equivalent is the HTTPHandler. So you dont need to have write any singletons. in ASp.Net by default itself there is a handler which is used for processing your request. if you want to customise or lets say provide centralised authentication, you typically need to create a Filter(Handler in this case) and this is what the Http handler offers Interestingly the Http Hanlders themselves would be a singleton entity only(this is implicit in fact and u need not worry about it)... regards, sr ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
