Hi,    You can use Triple DES or DPAPI [though the article explains how to encrypt 
passwords in database, you can use the functions alone for your purpose] do it before 
posting the URL.. However, it is quite advised that one should use form post variables 
for best results. More over you can have your SQL server/any database with encrypted 
password. During validation, encrypt the user entered password and compare with the 
one on database. That way you are secured from both your app and database. MD5 is best 
suited for this. For VBScript/ASP check this code for MD5 can be found here or here.
