use some key from records that ur binding to grid as name for checkbox. tjis
way u'll be uniquely identify a chekbox. but u wont get a row no.
here's a ad hoc way
public static void InsertRowNumbers(DataTable dt)
{
dt.Columns.Add("RowNo",typeof(int));
for(int i=0;i<dt.Rows.Count;i++) dt.Rows[i]["RowNo"] = i +1;
}
now use dt to bind grid and use RowNo as name (or value) for checkbox
