Hi Santy,   Please understand the fundamental architecture. On deletion of the log 
file is a big blunder and the last thing that can happen. There are tons of virtal 
information stored in the log file to make a complete recovery. But your point taken 
and it unknowingly got deleted because of some reasons.   As Ravi said, the solution 
is cleaner if you have a clean backup with you. But most often this is NOT the case I 
suppose. An I presume the question is targetted on the other un-usual cases only ...   
If the files are in a consistent state then surely the sp_attach_db can be used giving 
the complete paths of all the files. You can also look at sp_attach_single_file_db 
options here. Refer to SQL Server BOL for syntax specifics. This is something I've 
read in theory not implemented though ...   For suspect database troubleshooting check 
the KB articles like : http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;165918. 
There are other ways to get the data out of SQL Server Suspect databases.   HTH, Vinod
