Hi,
I am developing a 3 tier arch application.
Presentation layer-middle tier(business)-database tier.
I have a component in middle tier which handles database calls and transactions.
Now my query is,suppose an exception arises due to any reason, say db server down or no
records fetched or anything,i can handle it in my component fine.but how will i show
an error message in my presentation layer..that is,how it will be passed to the front
end..

Note: All the layers are in differenct machines..

any inputs

Cheers
Satheesh
