                              Hi Satheesh!

I think you should go for
                              having Resource files (that is
                              .RES files) in the Presentation
and Database tier of your project. You will need
to store your customized user friendly messages
with a assigned numbers to it in these RES files.
Then pass on the this number from the Database
tier to Presentation tier as a return message.
Based on this number, you can popup a relevant
message taking RES file on the Presentation layer.
This is how I used to work with 3-Tier using
Visual Basic 6.0. But, am not sure if this concept
                              works in Net too!

                              Cheers'

Hi
                                Pradeep,
Infact I am still in design phase
only and I am using abstract factory patterns
                                for database handling.
Somehow I am not still
not clear on how error message will reach the
                                front end..
Infact i have to directly invoke
                                the components

Any light into
                                this..
Satheesh
