hi...... I dont know if its a bug in the Textbox control, multiline does not work with
the maxlength. So u can check it with by writing a javascript. function
textCounter(field, maxlimit) { if (field.value.length > maxlimit) {
field.value = field.value.substring(0, maxlimit); } else {
document.getElementById(field.id+"_maxChar").value = maxlimit - field.value.length;
} } textBox id="A" onKeyDown="textCounter(this,20); "onKeyUp="textCounter(this,20);
"textbox readonly id="A_maxChar" value="20" and you use the method ;
myTextBox.Attributes.Add("onKeyDown","textCounter(this,20);" )
