Hi Anand, I checked the SQL datatype text in a small application. I used
ExecuteXmlReader to get the data in XmlReader object and thru the Read() method stored
the data in a string. I am able to get the data from the string in the normal way.
This is what I did: 'Open SQLConnection object SqlConnection1.Open() 'Initialize
the SQLCommand Object.
sqlcom = New SqlCommand("select * from DTDemo for xml auto", SqlConnection1)
 'Execute the command to get the xml data in XmlReader sqlxmlrd =
sqlcom.ExecuteXmlReader()   While sqlxmlrd.Read()
    sXML = sXML & vbCrLf & sqlxmlrd.Item(3)
End While
'Close the Connection SqlConnection1.Close() 'Display data
MsgBox(sXML) Please let me know if your requirement is something different then
this...   HTH,   Regards, Vaibhav Modak
