Hi , I am trying to select max value on a column from a table.My database is on Sql 
server 2000. I want to know how i can assign maximum count  value to a variable in sql 
stored procedure. For example exec("select max(ItemID) from " [EMAIL PROTECTED]) where 
@pTableName is a parameter value to stored procedure
