Hi Mystic,
for me your prob. is not very clear.....is it a sql databse file if yes then
it is a file having .bak as extension.right click on it and see properties
.you will find the create date..
Or do you want to search it programmatically?

Hi all   I would like to know is there a way to find out the actual
date/time when the database was backed up. Basically the database is from
some other  Organization. So does the pacakaged data will have timestamp
which would indicate the date ?   TIA   Srivats
