Anandraj and others,   sorry for missing the point in previous post.   As already told 
in some of posts, session state can be enabled even when browser doesn't support 
cookies. This is done by setting the cookieless attribute to true in config.   How it 
works? When you configure like this, ASP.NET embeds the session ID in the URL itself 
and this process is called URL Mangling. It has its own limitations: - works only with 
relative URLs and will not work with full URLs - if you want to detect browser 
settings first to see if it allows cookies or not and then take the decision where you 
want to store the session ID - that's is not possible as of now.   Following links
