Like for nstance - i wantt o insert the contents of a drop-down box into the database.then : i) i can insert the text by speciying - dropdown1.selecteditem.text in the sql query and insert int into the dataase. OR ii) i can assign it to a varaible and then insert the string into the database bt specifying the string in the sql query. bbut will the use of more variables affect the amount of time required to download the page or the speed of execution of the scripts ?
