if u r using dropdown1.selecteditem.text just once no point in assigning to a 
variable. for > once assign it to a var and use the var instead (that'll be faster).   
suppose a value type id a field in the object (ex: list.Count) assign it to a variable 
will have one more advantage - that of stack access (stack is faster than heap - if u 
didnt know).   but i suspect in cases like these for(int i=0;i<list.Count.......... 
the runtime will optimze the access to Count property. (i'm not sure. maybe someone 
can tell me)   but i like doing this just in case..... int listCnt = list.Count; 
for(int i=0;i<listCnt
