You cannot. To use the earlier queries, you need to be connected to some server. If 
this server by itself is not known, one option is for you to use the SQLDMO library 
and provide the user the list of SQL Servers on the network and then ask the user to 
select one. Post this, you can substitute this in your connection string and then talk
