Hi,

I have basic doubt in "==" and "Equals". Is the behaviour varies from language to
language.
As my knowlege goes through == equals checks the reference to that object and Equals
checks the content.

See the following example

In java
--------
import java.lang.String;
class StrTest
{
public static void main(String ar[])
{
String s1 = new String("Hi");
String s2 = new String("Hi");
if(s1==s2)
System.out.println("I am == ");
else if (s1.equals(s2))
System.out.println("I am equal ");
}
}

The output will be "I am equal"

In C#

String s1 = new String(new char[5] {'a','e','i','o','u'});
String s2 = new String(new char[5]  {'a','e','i','o','u'});
if(s1==s2)
System.Console.WriteLine("I am == ");
else if (s1.Equals(s2))
System.Console.WriteLine("I am equal ");

Output will be "I am =="

Both the places we are creating new objects(i.e s1,s2).
Is it correct behaviour or am i missing anything ?

Regards
Sunil
