 use 1 xml file to define ur database (instead of one per table. this will be faster 
for joins....) here's what i'd do 1. define a dataset in net add the tables,primary 
keys, constraints etc. serialize it as xml(maybe along with schemas) and save - this 
is a one time job  ur xml database is ready 2 . then u can deserialize use dataset do 
update/insert/delete on this dataset and save the datset back to ur xml file   his way 
u can bind ur datatables directly to bound visual controls in .net u can anytime 
switch b/w xml and dataset...... its flexible
