    Hi Jigs Thanks a ton.
    Well this is what the complete problem.I will try to
explain.
    As a result of a query iam getting the column names of a
particular table.(The user decides which tables he wants from an interface which
display all table names.)
    No what iam trying to do is get column names of the user
selected table, but since i dont know the number of columns that table migh have
,so i want to create a
    controlled array of lables
and text boxes to show the column names in lables and data of that column
by text boxes.
    The reason to use text boxes is for easy in data
entry.
    Let me know is there any other way by which i can
implement this.

    It will be of great help to me.

                Well
                Ambarish ,
                Control arrarys are no longer supported.

                but
                u can definately clear textbox dynamically. in
                ASP.NET
                TextBox t1  = new TextBox()
                t1.Text  = "SomeThing"
                Page.Controls.Add(t1)

                (Remember: you will need to deal with controls
                persistence between postbacks.)
                You
                can read details on this here:
http://www.dotnet247.com/247reference/msgs/30/153326.aspx

                Also
                you can use ArrayList class to maintain list of all textbox
                object.

                Hope
                this is helpful.
                Regards,
