You are not able to change the existing computer name with spaces between in My Computer properties section. It will throw an exception if we try to do so. But the same is not handled when we try to create a new Environment Variable for ComputerName with some spaces in it. Thats the reason for this confusion. Try changing the name of the computer thru My Computer porperties and you can understand better.
