For
that first you need to ping the address which you already worked
with
that
means you have to activate the palm with the network..

got same problems once, but after trying so many times and
giving
some
default ip addresses its worked for me
hope so it will work for you also

The Web Reference added was
http://localhost/WebService1/Service1.asmx
with Web Reference name as localhost.
The code on the form_load event goes like this.
Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As
System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles
Button1.Click
Dim px As New
localhost.Service1
TextBox1.Text = px.GetCities()
End
Sub
This has been tried on both PPC2002 emulator and Windows
CE.NET Emulator. Both gives the same error message. Screen shot
of WCE.NET emulator is attached.
I have also figured out the where the problem is? My
emulator is not detecting the parent machine. This is so obvious
because,if I ping my machine name or IP address from Pocket IE,
it says page cannot be found.
So the question now is How Can I communicate
between my PC and Emulator. Once this is
solved..localhost will be automatically detected and
webreferences will be automatically set.
Kindly Help me !!
Thanks
Srinivasan
