Basically, GAC is place where applications look for referenced
assemblies. if you an assembly which is used to different
applications(shared assembly), you can put them in GAC and all the
apps refer to this gaced assembly.

What is the ezact functionof the GAC? Whats the diff in keeping shared
assemblies in the GAC vs a regular Windows folder?
