----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Mrinal Message 2 in Discussion Hi , I may not be able to suggest the exact code , but i think this logic will work for you : 1. Create a Temp Table with same schema as the original table . 2. Insert the distinct name into the temp table . Insert into #temp(Name) Values(Select distinct name from Main Table) ; 3. Insert into #temp(Message) Values ( Select message from Maintable m inner join #temp t on m.name = t.name) Now in third step it may give an error , so may need to do some collation . Actually i don't have Sql Server to try the same . In case i come accross some other good solution i paste it . regards , Mrinal ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
