----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: alladin Message 4 in Discussion Hi, Debug and Release mode of project compilation is a feature of Visual Studio and has got nothing specific do to with .Net Framework or Common Language Runtime. Difference between Debug and Release Mode: 1) When a project or solution is built in Debug Mode VS.Net creates a Program Debug Database file i.e. .pdb, which can grow if your solution is very big. It is this file which contains all the break point etc... information and in Release Mode this file is not created. 2) If you distribute your assemble i.e. dll or exe by compiling it in Debug mode any user using Visual Studio can run through your code well as in Release mode this is not possible to achive.
