In my case, I have one application which creates a new PDF file and write the output and Close the file. But the cycle won't get completed in case any errors when writing the file. So the file is not getting closed. But the application has been closed and released from the memory and it is not listed in the Task list. Because of this it is not possible for me to delete the file using PID concepts. But all these issues are cleared once I restart my PC. But it is not possible to restart the PC when ever I got this issue. I am sure that the file is not used by any User. Well, How to come out this...?
