----------------------------------------------------------- From: contact4manoj Message 4 in Discussion Hi Sreenath. No. Cookies are not a good solution. Basically the browser is programmed to send the cookie to the domain name (or IP address as the case maybe), from whence it originated. So, opening a new window will not stop the browser from sending the cookie to the server, since the new window document too will be sent back to the same domain. JavaScript can only block opening of a new window as explained earlier. But that'a about the max you can stretch it. Now, please note these points are based on my personal understanding of how the browser behaves. However, if there are other members of this community who would like to share their understanding and enlighten me also, I would be most obliged. I have only tried to show you how I have protected one of my client's highly secure corporate website. All the best anyways.
