Tomorrow night is our August meeting, Tuesday the 21st, at Pivotal
Labs (directions below). We'll have food and beverages on hand by
6:45 with talks starting after 7:15. Rob Park will be leading off
with his talk, 'Keep your Cukes Clean and Shiny'. In light of people
talking more and more about larger Rails apps and needing "clean
code", SOLID, etc, Rob will throw out a reminder that your Cucumber
code is real code too. He'll talk about using a declarative style for
your features as well as some bits about page encapsulation
possibilities with the page-object gem. Following that, Nick Howard
will discuss last month's RailsBridge Workshop, which was a big
success. He'll give an intro about building a more Ruby diverse
community with events like RailsBridge Workshops. Then we'll hear
thoughts about the event from its organizers, TAs and participants.
