I'm needing some help, as I have very limited experience with linux. I've had a BBB for a few months now, and managed to cobble together many different items from google searches and sites like this one, and am working towards a functional touch screen beer brewing controller. After getting to where I am now, I purchased a 7in touchscreen from ebay (china) that is a waveshare cape/lcd package. Waveshare has a debian image that I have downloaded, and it boots right up to a working screen, but only runs from the card, no flasher. Trouble is, I have lots of hours into the BBB setup I'm running now, and would of course, rather not start over. I'm needing to get the LCD to work on my existing system.
