Hi everyone, Relative noob here, but I have a BeagleBone Black and RevA Audio cape working in Debian. I'd like to use it in Ubuntu, but there seems to be some sort of problem, possibly driver related. When I try a speaker test, I hear a quick chirp and:
root@arm:/dev# speaker-test speaker-test 1.1.0 Playback device is default Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 1 channels Using 16 octaves of pink noise Rate set to 48000Hz (requested 48000Hz) Buffer size range from 256 to 32768 Period size range from 128 to 16384 Using max buffer size 32768 Periods = 4 Unable to set hw params for playback: No such device Setting of hwparams failed: No such device and running aplay -l shows: root@arm:/dev# aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: Black [TI BeagleBone Black], device 0: davinci-mcasp.0-i2s-hifi i2s-hifi-0 [] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 which is different from what I'm used to seeing on the Debian setup. I've compiled the device tree overlay and can load it through the cape manager: root@arm:/dev# cat /sys/devices/platform/bone_capemgr/slots 0: PF---- -1 1: PF---- -1 2: PF---- -1 3: PF---- -1 5: P-O-L- 0 Override Board Name,00A0,Override Manuf,BB-BONE-AUDI-01 But I still don't see it aplay -l. Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. -- For more options, visit http://beagleboard.org/discuss --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BeagleBoard" group.
