This question came up on the Adafruit forum: "Ubuntu 16.04 on Beaglebone Black Cpu Temperature " https://forums.adafruit.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=110699
The poster wants to detect when the TI Sitara AM3358 SoC has become too hot and activate a fan. It appears that the temperature sensor in the SoC does not work accurately and TI has given up on the driver: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/beagleboard/4MxTnu5_uVc/AUGkzqVXCgAJ Has anyone used an external thermocouple to monitor temperature of their BeagleBone? Any suggestions of where and how to place a thermocouple near the SoC? thanks! drew -- For more options, visit http://beagleboard.org/discuss --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BeagleBoard" group.
