Dear Mr Nelson, Today I have faced same problem that when I boot BBB using SD card, I get garbage value on serial port and operating system in BBB hangs. Presently I am using bone-debian-9.5-lxqt-armhf-2018-10-07-4gb.img (latest) to work with BBB.
Kindly inform me how can I find out main cause of problem and how can I fix it.
