I was able to get this part working thanks to Derek Malloys videos. In windows Network and sharing your wifi adapter will appear as well as the local private adapter to the BBB In the wifi adapter go to properties--> sharing and allow sharing to the private adapter. Once that is done, go to the private adapter --> properties. Click Internet protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPV4) then in the window that pops up select both Obtain IP and Obtain DNS automatically.
