Ren: Good question. I poked around the kernel source <https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/tree/drivers/leds/trigger?h=v4.19.142> a bit hoping to create an example for my students. But it was more complicated than what I wanted for my students.
