Let me just say that Fava's implementation is not sufficient for my needs and after reading the following article: "Budgeting and forecasting" (http://hledger.org/budgeting-and-forecasting.html) it was deciding factor to finally migrate from Gnucash to hledger. In my case, I need Envelope budget and Forecasting features as described above...
