The whole staging step, and separation of Commit and Push are being hidden, i.e. in VS Code. They are still there if needed, but two step process of stage all -> commit all -> push is now almost identical to tying together commit+push and fetch+pull on Hg. Tags are the same, and the whole thing with heads is at least similar. I'm actually sad that SmartGit is dropping support for Hg but that's life.
