I apologize for the way my comment came across. My intent was to describe how I go about researching context on an open source project when I'm wondering why something was done a particular way. I am deeply grateful for all the efforts of open source contributors who lovingly built so many of the tools I use. Thanks for the pointer about the merge requests on bitbucket.
