What are the current archive files like? How often are you wanting to do
this?
Is it on Windows? Linux? Unix?

Here's one from the greenest of greenhorns!
Anyone aware of a script and or how I might go about archiving posts
from within a chat room I've built? This chat room has been up and
running well for over a year and has search capabilities of the present
manually created archives. The script that runs the chat room is in
Perl. Might there be such a thing as a module that would do this? Would
like to automate the present archives. I have one script that would work
however, I cannot telnet into the server to place a symbolic link to
make it work. I suppose secure shell may get me in, but not familiar
with that at all.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
