Nope, 7 is good too..first 64-bit Solaris. And if you need one file that's
4 terabytes, you need something more than a sparc :)

I'm sure it can, but I've no idea what size it is these days and I didn't
find it in my kernel book as it is mostly for the sparc arch. It's
certainly more than 2GB as I remember they got LBA for larger partitions
in x86 a while back.

The important part is that you must use Suns, not Perl's, malloc and use
the appropriate flags for gcc or cc if you have it. It's all in the README
for Solaris as I recall.
