procmail, for those using unix, can delete duplicates with the following
recipe;

# Eliminate Duplcate Incoming Messages
#
:0 Wh: .msgid.lock
  | formail -D 8192 .msgid.cache

Outlook, Exchange, Eudora and just about any other 'modern' email client
has filtering features that I'm sure will take care of 99% of your
filtering needs.

If you don't know how to manage your mail or aren't willing to learn then
you probably don't have any business joining a mailing list and then
whining about it on the list.
