Thanks for your help Dave.
Not a problem Jyo.
Yes that was Javascript.. Just as m a beginner, I thot we can convert
javascipts to cgi scripts.!!! Am I wrong?
You can use Perl to write a cgi script that outputs JavaScript code. You
can't use JavaScript code in Perl.
n for Blast, I have downloaded the latest netblast. Can you help me
furthur.
Sorry I made a mistake in my previous email, you need to download
wwwblast. The instructions from the wwwblast package should be able to
help you set up your own blast server. You will need to know a little
about web servers, how HTML forms work and how to make your own blast
database (all of which are not related to this mailing list, so don't ask
those questions here). You can try asking your question on this forum
http://www.unix.com/web-programming-web-2-0-mashups/, which I also read.
There are instructions for searching protein sequences. But I should
make a
script so that user can input their file of sequences and then click on
Blast. Then it should produce the Blast results ...
Kind Regards,
Jyo
Hope that helps,
Dave
