"three", "four", [...] "twenty" ); Doesn't seem all that much more cluttered than: my @ar = qw( one two three four [...] twenty ); Far as reading the code goes, but is a fair bit less typing. I think I'll ask on an emacs group how others get around that syntax highlighting problem.
