Thanks for answering my question. I'm certainly not an advocate for either languages, since I don't even know much about them. I learned Perl first and recently my colleagues suggested me to learn python. So, the struggle begins. I searched online about this topic and only found one scientific paper is revealing some truth: no significant difference between those 2 script languages. This is why I'm here to ask. If the moderator of this list thinks this is inappropriate, I'll shut up and keep silent.
